The ‘Call and Go‘ community transport service is available if you do not have access to a car when required and there is no bus service running when you need to travel, you live more than 400 metres from an available bus stop, or you have a disability or mobility/sensory impairment that makes using buses difficult.
The service is operated by CTEH – Community Transport for East Hampshire, and serves the following destinations:
- Wednesday mornings – to Petersfield;
- first and third Saturdays each month – to Petersfield; and
- last Saturday of each month – trips to various destinations.
‘Call & Go’ minibuses are specially adapted with handrails and low steps to help passengers. Each vehicle is equipped with a lift or ramp to assist wheelchair and walking frame users and people carrying children in.
You need to register to use the service and phone to book your journey. Bookings are allocated on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. Fares are similar to normal bus fares. The minibus will collect you from a mutually agreeable point, e.g. your home if you are mobility impaired, and take you to your required destination.
To register as a member and book a seat, contact CTEH on 01420 475759 between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday, or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Bookings can be made up to 7 days ahead.
